Mer.

The Student Activities Board does not like my idea of a Medievalists club. They think we should join the Classics Club instead. Evidently the classical period is the only period of history worthy of having a club.

I suspect the Classics Club would try to run us off as a bunch of barbarians who burned all the interesting books and not be terribly impressed by it having gotten better later.

Sigh. To appeal, or not to appeal? I bet they'll junk our appeal, anyway.

Oh, and I don't know what other clubs were accepted in this round of applications over mine, but this school already has a "New Englanders for America" club, a "Pop Music Lovers" club, a "Poltergeist" club, the nature of which is not explained, an "Iranian Jewish" club, a "Leadership through Literature" club, and a "Fashion Business" club.

The Student Activities Board recommends that you speak with the Classics Club and see if there might not be a place for your group within their club.

Yes, and perhaps the Korean Campus Crusade for Christ, the Korean Christian Fellowship, and the Asian Baptist Student Koinonia should find a place for themselves in the Asian American Christian Fellowship. Actually, having all four join Tzu Chi-Buddhist Compassionate Relief would make about as much sense as having medievalists in a Classics Club

Well, there is a "send this club an inquiry" link on the OSA page. It also seems like their mission is to "tutor students both in Latin and Greek. To promote trips to other schools for guest lectures. To employ guest lectures here at NYU."

Is the time on your journal set to GMT on purpose or is that an accident?
