Here's a nifty idea, gacked from prillalar: take pictures of your desktop! The lighting in my room is somewhat less than ideal, at least after sundown, but there you have it.

I scuttled all my dishes off to the kitchen. They were really eloquently testifying to how I have everything in arm's reach and don't move while I'm working. :D

The best, most perfect Christmas present I ever got when I was little was when my grandma got me the Little Women box set with the video in a fancy box (no use now, alas!) and such.
