mayhap: stamp with Scottish flag (Scotland)

Utter disbelief

Cannot believe my flight to Scotland leaves in four and a half hours.

Cannot believe I am almost packed.

Cannot believe that there is yet more packing to do.

Cannot believe that I just had my eyebrows waxed of all the things. (Why no. I am not particularly in touch with my girly side. We send each other postcards on occasion.)

Cannot believe just how much one can spend on makeup to achieve the "natural" look.

Cannot believe how much my mom rocks. Have I mentioned this recently? Because she does.

Cannot believe that I have $100 zipped inside my shoes.

Egad.

Tonight I went out with my co-workers and, on my suggestion, we went to a Scottish bar named -- get ready -- St. Andrews.  Now obviously this was inspired by you, it being your first day in Scotland and all.  Sure, it probably helped marginally that it's two blocks away from my workplace, that they carry my favorite single malt scotch (Strathisla if you must know), and that the bartenders are required to wear kilts.  But clearly the driving force was you.  We shared a wee dram in your honor.  (Perhaps the others weren't entirely aware it was in your honor, but is that really the point?)

Well enough of this "Lisa-wishes-she-were-in-Scotland-and-is-living-vicariously-through-you" typical bullshit.  I am genuinely and legitimately psyched for you, and I hope -- no, I know -- you will have an unbelievably fabulous time.  Enjoy those lochs and glens!  Say hi to Jo Rowling (since obviously you'll be running into her all the time... it's a small country, after all).  And don't forget to write!   Else ye be a scurvy dog (sorry, couldn't resist).

Cannot believe that you've managed to go for days without posting. I hear things are going well though and look forward to hearing from you.
