on the Mall of America, hotels

mayhapI have but three words to say on the subject of the Mall of America:
Do not go.
More specifically, you should not allow yourself to be dragged there by your father and your little brother. Trust me on this one.
I have always rather liked hotels. I don't know why showing up in an empty room and ranging about it the few possessions that you have lugged along with you is more satisfying than just staying at home with everything you own already in place, but there it is. Although the internet wasn't working, so I spent the evening fixing ID3 tags in my MP3 collection. Yes, I am that boring when left to my own devices.
At least my grandparents' house has internet now. So did the Apple Store, which was as a haven of sanity within the Mall of America, even though it too was filled with immensely tedious people towards the end of the day.
Ah, and now it wants to restart AOL. Bloody AOL.
