Independence Day

Today I celebrated my independence from my parents sorta kinda. Because not really because I'm still living in their house over the summer and all. New York is kind of expensive. But what we did do is get drunk over at my best friend's house while both our sets of parents were there. I swear my parents didn't even notice or if they did they sure as hell didn't say anything. They like don't know I drink but they don't know I don't either and if they didn't even suspect when Mike turned 21 they're pretty silly.

I can still fix typos.

Sitting up, that was difficult.

My brother's watching Keeping the Faith next door, but I let him have his couch to lay down on so I came back to my room and besides I'm running out of battery.

When I was growing up I always thought the fireworks we did at Lake Poinsette (this is where my grandparents have a cabin in South Dakota for those of you just tuning in) were kinda dangerous but I realize now that was nothing to the kind of stuff that was going on tonight, For one thing there was water there to put out the fire and for another thing no one was shooting off fireworks at each other on accident or on purpose, especially the latter.

Just changed mood to "drunk" from "independent." That is probably more accurate. Oh and I just got my daily Dilbert.

So neither my brother nor my friend's brother nor his girlfriend blew me nor anyone else up and that's pretty good. And my parents are in denial so they didn't see that we were drinking, which is so cute, we've all been in college for years.. And I have The Da Vinci Code to read tomorrow so that's not bad.
