mayhap: hennaed hands, writing (I fancy slash.)
A supremely geeky quiz )

Today I made a third grade teacher very happy by turning up to work with her again. I, personally, can't think of anyone I'd rather have sign my timesheets, or many other jobs I'd like to have. And third graders are just old enough that they can be of some use, and just young enough that they are, in fact, longing to assist you in any way possible. That is to say: perfect minions!

I met up with some of my minions from last year -- all girls -- and shamelessly distracted them from returning to their classes. I didn't encounter any of my male minions, but according to Wendy, they were all too cool to say hello to their old teacher on the first day of class. I suppose that means my nine-year-old loverboy will no longer attach himself to me like a limpet at every possible opportunity, alas.

Iranian President Mohammad Khatami is damn sexy. I would go to Iran and have ten thousand of his progressive, democratically-elected babies, but I do not believe this service is actually required. I was thinking about this because my Parthenon professor (actual class title: Parthenon Revisited: Myth and Cult on the Athenian Acropolis) showed us a picture of him putting in an appearance at the Parthenon, demanding the return of the Elgin marbles. Which is of course ironic and stuff because of it being the Persians who sacked the original Parthenon which prompted the building of the current model. But I was not really paying much mind to what she was saying at that point.

One of the girls in my suite (the one who has a single bedroom to herself, whom we accordingly see rather less) came by earlier and was smitten with my wall o' slash. It has gotten many positive reactions, actually. Most prominent are the entire works of [livejournal.com profile] dorkorific, both because they are stunningly gorgeous and because I hadn't any colored inks in my printer, and they are much admired.
