I dragged my mom along to check out this "Big Semi-Annual Sale" at Bath and Body Works, where the siren song of skin care products sings to me so sweetly and my disdain for girly things goes right out the window.

Hoo boy.

I, personally, got the following:

Click here for skin care pr0n! )

I'm not even entirely certain what all my mom got. Mmmm.

*smells really, really good*

I've been listening to this song on repeat with actual speakers plugged into my laptop and singing along and everything, which is one of the nice things about being at home. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I had the version of it from the indie album, of course, but I just downloaded this one last night. If any of you people I've already indoctrinated into the ways of the Tea Party want me to send it to you or something, just let me know.

The end of The Time Traveler's Wife made me weep. It was the third book to do in as many days, although those three were the first since, gosh, I don't know, maybe Gone With the Wind the first time when I was twelve. Maybe I was just in a weepy mood, but still ... so good. I'm a real sucker for a good timetravel story, and this one is fabulous.

The other books, for those of you playing along at home: Lamb: The Gospel According to Christ's Childhood Pal, Biff and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. Guh. Loved loved loved.

Well, that's what I've been up to. Plus lots of putting-books-on-shelves, of course. Oh, and I promptly ordered one of these because I am Steve Jobs's whore forever.
