mayhapGod, we really picked the worst year to completely melt down, I'm not impressed by any of these teams. Pat could kick all of their asses if he had knees.
(2) New England Patriots defeated (1) Denver Broncos, 10-7 — This was the real clunker, obviously. The snow effectively shortened the game to a little under three quarters, but don't let the fact that the end of the game was virtually unrecognizable as football distract you from the fact that the beginning of the game was also bad. The Broncos were stuck with their backup quarterback but what's the Patriots' excuse? My recurring thought during this game was wow, they have to let one of these teams play in the Super Bowl.
Now, don't get me wrong, the Extreme Snow Phase of this game was very funny as a spectacle. It was just anticlimactic as an end to an already sloppy, low-scoring game.
(1) Seattle Seahawks defeated (5) Los Angeles Rams — I didn't want to have to be putting my faith in Sam Darnold to defeat whichever detested AFC team won the afternoon game, but here we are. Go Seahawks, I guess. I do love a hawk, or any bird of prey.
