The Middle Ages and the Movies, yay
Date: 2004-10-15 05:09 am (UTC)Oh, I love this class to bits. We're working backwards chronologically, so we started with Braveheart, proceeded to the Name of the Rose, then Monty Python next week, then some Soviet film called Andrei Rublev, then El Cid, then The Seventh Seal (yay!), finishing off with yet another Soviet film with some guy's name as the title (Alexander Nevsky) and finishing off with a German silent film of Die Nibelungen. We have fabulous discussions too. Good times, good times.
I think I'm even sadder. I have a whole stack of library books on Anglo-Saxon England, and they aren't even for class. I just saw them on the shelf and had to bring them home with me. :D
