When darkness descends, it's all you see

I went to see my advisor about studying at St. Andrews next semester, and she joins my mom, my extended family, and all the old professors I've talked to in the last month in being thrilled with the idea.

She also revealed that she has a Scottish friend who is, in fact, related to the present Thane of Cawdor. The Thane of bloody Cawdor. Isn't that fabulous? And if that isn't enough, apparently he rather scandalously waited until his stepmother was on vacation or something and holed himself up in his castle and put up the drawbridge. It sounds too good to be true.

I hear my grandmother really is fine, although apparently not home at the moment as I called and no one answered.

I wrote Ron/Hermione ... of sorts. :D
