To sum up a bit
Feb. 19th, 2004 10:50 pmI am pleased to announce that I won $75 for this lovely picture.
I am thrilled beyond belief that people liked my Becket smut.
I was saddened to discover that the pair of lovebirds in a tacky clothing store on Broadway have been removed to make way for a far less interesting display. My aunt and I were absolutely smitten with these lovebirds. She says she has dibs on giving me a pair for a graduation present.
I was greatly amused today in Death on the Nile when we talked about the tomb of Tomb of Niankhkhnum and Khnumhotep, informally and incorrectly yet oh-so-divertingly called "The Tomb of the Gay Hairdressers". They were, in fact, almost certainly twins, or at least brothers, and besides, as my professor pointed out, "the Ancient Egyptian stereotype was that generals were gay, not hairdressers."
I am going to miss my aunt when she's gone, but not all the stress of accommodating another person, definitely. Especially another person who wants to see many sights and buy a bunch of jewelry in Chinatown ... Although she did get me some cool chandelier earrings, one pair dark blue, one really pretty pink pair, so I'm not complaining, or anything.
I resolve to at least update my recently read books before I go to sleep.
