The yearly ritual frenzy

mayhapI am doing NaNoWriMo this year. Because I am insane. (To be fair, you could probably append that to every statement I make about my thoughts or actions.)
I'm not even going to talk about how much I've written so far, except that if I revise my daily goal slightly upwards to 2,000 words, which is a nice round number with no nasty repeating decimals, I can totally still win. I am strictly avoiding any kind of historical fiction and instead writing a nice story about middle school girls in New York City. Who joyride dragons. And arekind of really gay for each other.
I'm kind of liking it so far.

laislabevita's novel, which is basically composed of pure awesome. She is the Dave Barry of Philadelphia, people. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say anything else, but a.) I have a cameo, sort of, and b.) it is going to be so awesome.
