A much-needed vacation of the mind

I took my $25 Barnes and Noble gift certificate that Wendy gave me today to the Astor Place B&N (along with satyadasa, of course) and snapped up some nice, relaxing-looking books for the taxi-airport-plane-airport-plane-van tomorrow. These books are:

The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents by Terry Pratchett;
Heir Apparent by Vivian Vande Velde; and
Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire

Mmmmmmmbooks.

Ooh, great use of the certificate! I adore The Amazing Maurice (it may be the best Discbook yet!), the second one seems familiar to me, and the Confessions wasn't qutie to my taste, but it's a great take on the Cinderella story that lots of people adore. Enjoy them!
