mayhap: hennaed hands, writing (I was expecting that.)
So, now I regroup and try to get my arse into some classes, I guess. Meanwhile trying to convince Gallatin that they really, really want to waive their 32 credit residence policy so I can go abroad next fall instead of this spring.

I think I can get into June Foley's Writing for Young Readers. Only one person on the waitlist now. She's lovely, too.

Hmm, there's Acting Medieval Art. Only two credits, though.

Um, there's also Ancient Egyptian Mortuary Practices ... if they don't cancel it ...

This is gonna be interesting, eh?

Oddly enough, one of the women in Admissions at St Andrews is coming to New York in April, and she wants to hook up with me for lunch and have me show her around NYU. Kind of the opposite of what I had in mind, but hey, if I get a chance to reverse it again ...

There's supposed to be a blizzard tomorrow? Lovely. At least it's not when I'm flying out. I guess.

Hello, and

mayhap: hennaed hands, writing (I am moved by Love.)
welcome back to [livejournal.com profile] silvernutmeg, your "All My Registration Woes, All the Time" LiveJournal. After all, if God had not wanted me to post about my schedule all day long, he would not have given me a LiveJournal.1

Now, having told NYU once and for all that I don't want a meningitis inoculation, and getting my advisor to sign off on my deranged scribblings, I am registered for the following courses (bold if I'm actually in them as opposed to on a waitlist).

Ancient Egyptian Mortuary Traditions
Gender in Early Christianity
Early Renaissance Painting
Acting Medieval Literature
Writing for Young Readers

I should get in touch with the professor of Neoplatonism in the Middle Ages and Renaissance to see if I can get into that -- it didn't say it needed an access code, but it did.

1Actually, that was [livejournal.com profile] lasultrix. But, you know, same difference.

Hey, wow --

Someone else wrote Virgil/Dante!

Check it out -- Eternally Divided: A Missing Canto from Dante's Inferno by Heather Elizabeth Peterson

Very touching and not as, um, smutty as my initial take on the subject, and accompanied by a very nice historical note.
