My suitemates smuggled in an überverbotentannenbaum.1 Too bad2 they have treated me at best like an interloper, and at worst, like a foul and sickening presence all semester, as I fully intend to report their arses to the front office.3 Vengeance shall be mine.4
1Sorry, but those are like half the words I know in German. The attempt to string them together was irresistible.
2For them, muahahahahaha!
3But not right now, because I just put on my pajamas.
4Because I hate stupid rules, but I hate my suitemates more.

Date: 2003-12-05 08:21 pm (UTC)However, in high school german, we watched Ravioli, the story of four children whose parents won a vacation in the north islands and left them home for a week, so they promptly spent all their cash on a week's worth of ravioli to eat, and then promptly got sick of it and attempted to scavenge more normal food. Like Pommes with Mayo. ::shudders:: it was highly amusing, and much more fun than Das Boot.

Date: 2003-12-05 08:47 pm (UTC)"This T.V. series is one of the most disgusting german product I´ve ever seen, it was born of one disgusting idea, stupid children stay alone in their house, they waste the money buying ravioli because this is their favourite food and is very cheap and they can waste the money in very stupid things. The older brother, called Jarl-Kulle thinks that he is a writter, but he`s only an homosexual and dangerous boy for his brothers and sisters and for himself, with a stupid type-writter in the basement. The blockhead family has too the typical racketeer uncle, or something, and the typical old, frigid, and embittered servant without love life, who tries to oversee the silliness that make the imbecile family. This is a very disgusting subproduct, don`t watch it."
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Date: 2003-12-07 11:54 am (UTC)We watched this bizarre program that came with the book. It was about Thomas Hueber. (Er kommt aus Salzburg. Er woehnt gleich in Hamburg.)
Anyway, he had a crush on a girl named Andrea, who was a bitch to him, and his friend Claudia was her best friend and had a crush on Thomas. 'Twas actually interesting.
Then we watched Deutsch Plus! from the BBC, which was also decent.

We saw Ravioli once, I believe, and found it weird as hell.
