mayhap: Renaissance wise man with text I've had a crush on that king since I was sixteen (I've had a crush on that King)
I found a nigh-pristine first edition of Trojan Gold on the clearance shelf at my local Half Price Books for a dollar! Hardly a priceless incunabulum, to be sure, but it pleases me greatly. It joins my two mass market paperback copies, which have been demoted to 'copy for reading' and 'copy for reading in the bathtub' respectively.

I finally turned off anonymous comments on LJ. I would have liked to have left them on, but deleting all the stupid shoe spam was starting to seem like a part-time job. Since I have yet to be spammed on DW, however, anonymous comments are still on there.
mayhap: Junie B. Jones peeks from behind composition book (Junie B.)
I have a couple of Dreamwidth codes! If anyone still needs one, please do let me know.

I have a Dreamwidth! I really like what I've seen of the service, and I like how they've gone out of their way to make sure that everyone can participate freely over there with OpenID, so that we can reassemble our social networks even if people end up scattering.

I haven't quite decided/figured out what to do with my Dreamwidth. I'm not prepared to leave LJ just yet (I have a stupid permanent account, okay? Although I do plan to kick Dreamwidth some money once I get my car fixed), but if or when I do, Dreamwidth is definitely where you'll find me.

I'm afraid I've been both sick and tired and haven't kept very good track of everyone else and their pronouncements, and so:

a.) Add me on DW and I'll add you back, or;

b.) [Poll #1393595]

(I lied. There is no pie.)

I still don't feel quite right putting my interests back in my profile, even though they were all as harmless as fuzzy bunnies to begin with. (Some of them actually were fuzzy bunnies.) I shall ponder this.

My metropolitan area was namechecked not once, but twice on last night's Colbert Report! First, the owner of Prospero's Books, a used bookstore that [livejournal.com profile] satyadasa and I haunted from time to time when we were in high school, set some books on fire to whore frantically for attention protest society's diminishing respect for the printed word.

Also, a large group of guitarists converged to break a Guinness world record by playing Smoke on the Water, which is apparently a song. I wouldn't know, as I have evidently been living in a cave since birth. However, Colbert busted out a guitar and favored us with a few chords himself, which raised my interest considerably.

Tomorrow is my brother's birthday party (today is is birthday proper) and in the great tradition of Nintendo cakes, we're planning to make a bunch of carrot cake Wiimotes. Well, assuming we go shopping for cake decorations sometime soon. Otherwise, we're planning to make a bunch of carrot cake rectangular prisms, which are nowhere near as cool.

You can write fic based on my fic. You don't have to ask me for permission first. You don't even have to link me to it if you don't want to, although obviously I would read with interest if you did. Unless you just did a find-and-replace and turned it into a TezuFuji fic. Then I would read with horrified laughter. But by all means, don't let that stop you!

You can write reviews of my fic. You don't even need to like it! You would think this would go without saying, but apparently, not so much.

Also, you can write RPS about me if you want. I suggest pairing me with Liv Tyler, [livejournal.com profile] laislabevita, or the Giant Squid, but don't feel limited by these suggestions! Feel free to come up with your own!
