Today I made an impulse purchase from a local science store. It is a copy of Papermaking: the History and Technology of an Ancient Craft.

Because, you know, I may need to boost my novel's wordcount with authoritative details about the papermaking process. Postapocalyptic monasteries will need a lot of paper, you know, and it's not going to make itself!

I swear, this year I am going to win even if all I do all month is type and chug energy drinks.

I probably still have the text of that nano attempt in the hard drive. I seem to recall it was a lot of tedium about cooking until I went crazy and scrapped it (after about maybe six to eight hours in the life of Angela Agape Whateverherlastnamewas).

I think I figured out a way to pad my count when i get to the caveman scenes. Have them be all shakesperian eloquent, very flower language in the rough draft, but put in it carrots. Like, "<

What a pity.>>" which, when I make up the cave-language, would come out something like. "Oog harn fwap. Ip."

I came up with a plan for Nano last year and promised Bev I would do it this year. So I will.

Thankfully, I have lots of free times this November, so my only excuses will be simple exhaustion with the effort, gaming, and.. I dunno.
