Today I made an impulse purchase from a local science store. It is a copy of Papermaking: the History and Technology of an Ancient Craft.

Because, you know, I may need to boost my novel's wordcount with authoritative details about the papermaking process. Postapocalyptic monasteries will need a lot of paper, you know, and it's not going to make itself!

I swear, this year I am going to win even if all I do all month is type and chug energy drinks.

I think I figured out a way to pad my count when i get to the caveman scenes. Have them be all shakesperian eloquent, very flower language in the rough draft, but put in it carrots. Like, "<

Like, "<<Oh, my goodness. It does seem to me that the spike tailed horrendous monster thing has impailed our good friend Oog the Fastidious. What a pity.>>" which, when I make up the cave-language, would come out something like. "Oog harn fwap. Ip."
